Catch The Spirit Of Missions at Ivy Memorial!!
We have many outstanding mission organizations at Ivy. We believe that participation in them helps members to obey the Great Commision: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit... Matt 28:19 (NIV)
Join us in our quest to be better disciples!! Under the umbrella of WMU, Ivy has several Women on Mission (WOM) circles for you to pray, learn, serve, and fellowship with. Contact the Church office to discuss which WOM circle is right for you.

Supported Missions
Ivy Memorial Baptist Church supports a variety of Missions projects, both independently and through our various affiliations. Here are some of the ways that we support God's work in other local and foreign locations.
The Man'ganja People
In 2000, Ivy Memorial began a covenant to pray for the Man'ganja People of Malawi, South Africa. About 50% of these people are HIV-positive, and about 22% of them have full-blown AIDS. They basically live on substance farms where they raise just enough to be able to live. Right now they are very open to the gospel, and accept it readily, but when things start to go wrong, they tend to return to the gods they previously worshiped. There are currently four Southern Baptist missionaries in Malawi assigned to work with the Man'ganja. Please join us in prayer for this people and for the continued work of our Southern Baptist missionaries working in the region.
Prayer Topics
- Pray that God will pour out His Spirit on the Mang'anja in a great spiritual awakening that crosses denominational lines.
- Pray for Mang'anja Christians to be bold in sharing their faith with their lost friends and neighbors.
- Pray for God to call out capable men and women to serve as leaders of the new churches that are being planted among the Mang'anja.
- Pray for the new Mang'anja Christians to mature in Christ putting old animistic beliefs in witchcraft and sorcery behind them.
- Pray that missionaries may be called out to target specifically the Mang'anja people.
- Pray for literacy projects among the Mang'anja so that more of them may learn to read the Bible.
- Pray for Christian radio programs to reach the Mang'anja so that nonreaders may hear the Gospel message.
