Ok, so this is my first official blog entry ever. I hope to use this form of media to full advantage, but I must admit that the idea of a life journal that everyone gets to read freaks me out just a little :-)~. From time to time I'll try to hop on here to post notes ranging from what I did today, upcoming events, maybe some random facts, and so forth just to see who is coming online and reading this stuff. Shoot, this could be a lot of fun, insert sarcastic laugh...muuuaaah! Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys surfing this new and improved web site. There is so much more to offer from podcast, online giving, e-vites, and more. I'm certain it'll take a couple of days -- years to learn how to use all components though. Try checking back weekly and see what's new. Drop an email and let me/us know what's new with you also and maybe we can even partner together through the means of technology to affect change in our church and community for Christ!
If God is all-knowing, then I'm taken back at the fact that in 2000 AD He knew about the internet, lol.

Out grabbing a bite to eat right now and thought I'd throw an entry down really fast. I've thought about jotting notes from time to time, but each time I think to do so I convince myself otherwise. You know, it's an odd thought to think people might actually read what you type :-)~
Last night I had the opportunity to speak on the Eastern Shore of VA for a Sunday school training event. I thought there was a good crowd in general. I had 6-8 adults in my teaching student ministry seminar. I always feel odd when asked to lead such a meeting. II'm used to being in the chair on the other side...flattered, humbled, and generally surprised would be as close of a reaction I have each time I'm asked to do something like this.
Anyway, I think things went well, but like me, I tried to fit way too much content in a brief period. I just hope that the participants were able to take at least one readily applicable idea and use it upon walking out last night.
Ok, my food is here so I'm gonna bounce, but I'll be getting prepped for Bible study tromorrow, flag football this weekend, and an unusual "Guys day" w/ Chandler since my beautiful bride is working a rare Saturday. Btw -- Thursday weill mark our 15th wedding anniversary. Woot! I count myself very blessed...especially since she hasn't tried collecting on the life insurance, giggles :-)
